CrossFit Urge has intrduced a 'Member of the Month'.
A 'Member of the Month' is someone who has been recognised by our coaches for displaying many attributes that we here at CrossFit Urge strive to achieve.
Matt Cook has been chosen this month because of his support and comradary towards other members and his urge to better himself through his committments to training.
Read below to get an insight into Matt's journey at CrossFit Urge
1. How long have you been doing CrossFit?
Since end of April last year, approx 9months.
2. What do you like most about CrossFit?
The challenge of always been able to improve and learn - fitness, strength and skills.
3. What is your favourite movement?
I honestly don't have a favourite, enjoy doing most of them. Not sure enjoy is the right word though.
4.what would be your ideal workout?
Really enjoy doing workouts with a good mix of strength/barbell work and skills/body weight work. But don't really have an issue of one kind of workout over another.
5. What would be your most challenging workout?
At the moment anything that involves any kind of muscle up. But I am working on that.
6. What keeps you motivated?
Wanting to stay/improve my fitness and a desire to constantly learn and improve.
7. What is your most memorable moment at CrossFit Urge?
It's more of an overall thing than one item. The most memorable things are how much real enjoyment I have got out of doing crossfit and how supportive and encouraging everyone involved is, especially Matt and Paul but everyone who goes along and gets belted each day for fun! On a more specific note there have been a couple of PR'S hit at unexpected times that stand out for me as well.
